A notarization is an official act performed by a Notary Public—an impartial officer appointed by the state—to serve as a fraud deterrent. It is required when the receiver of a document needs formal assurance that the signer has been properly identified. This process is designed to prevent unauthorized individuals from signing someone else's name to a transaction or legal document.
When a notary performs a notarization, they are notarizing the signature and not the document itself. The process confirms that the signer provided satisfactory evidence, as recognized by the State of California, to prove they are the person they claim to be.
The process typically involves three key components:
Identity Verification: The notary confirms the signer’s identity through valid, government-issued physical identification.
Voluntariness and Awareness: The notary ensures the signer understands the document’s significance and is signing of their own free will, without coercion.
Oaths or Affirmations: Depending on the document type, the process may require the notary to administer a verbal oath or affirmation in addition to witnessing the signature.
By acting as a neutral witness, the notary provides a "seal of trust," allowing the document to be recognized as a legally binding and authentic record by courts, banks, and government agencies.

As a commissioned Notary Public in California, I am authorized to notarize any document allowed by state law. My services cover a broad spectrum of needs, ranging from general notarial acts to specialized legal and financial packages.
Commonly Notarized Documents Include:
Estate Planning: Living Trusts, Wills (with proper witness requirements), Financial Power of Attorney, and Advance Health Care Directives.
Legal & Court Documents: Affidavits, Sworn Statements, Adoption paperwork, and Domestic Partnership filings.
Family & Personal: Minor Travel Consent forms, Parental Consent for Passports, and Bills of Sale for automotive or personal property.
Business & Commercial: Contracts, Partnership Agreements, and various corporate certifications.
Specialized Services In addition to general notary work, I am a multi-certified Signing Agent and can notarize Real Estate Loan Signings, ensuring that these high-stakes documents are executed with precision and care.
Not sure if your document can be notarized? If you are unsure whether your specific document requires a notary or is eligible for notarization in California, please feel free to inquire before scheduling. I am happy to review your requirements to ensure we are prepared for a successful appointment.

To ensure a smooth and successful signing, please have the following ready at the time of the appointment:
1. Proper Identification: Every person signing the document must appear in person and present a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID (e.g., a Driver’s License, State-issued ID card, or a U.S. Passport).
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of acceptable identification. If you intend to use a different form of ID, please contact me in advance to ensure it meets California’s strict requirements for "satisfactory evidence" of identity.
Important Note: Per California law, ID must be in its physical form. We cannot accept digital IDs, photocopies, or photos of your ID.
Military IDs: Please be aware that many Military IDs do not meet California’s specific requirements for satisfactory evidence of identity. If you plan to use a Military ID, please contact me in advance to confirm if additional identification is required.
2. Your Documents: Please have your documents completed and ready to sign. To ensure the integrity of the notarization and to avoid any potential errors, we recommend waiting to sign and date your documents until your notary appointment.
3. Witnesses (if required): Please check your document beforehand to see if it requires witnesses in addition to the notary. If so, they must be present at the time of signing.
Witness Requirements: They must be at least 18 years old, have no financial or beneficial interest in the document, and not be named within the paperwork.
Providing Witnesses: Generally, you are responsible for providing your own witnesses. Please let us know if you are unsure if your document requires them.
-
As a mobile service, the notary travels directly to your location to provide convenient, on-site support (there is no office to stop by). This eliminates the need for you to travel or wait in line at a retail location.
Service Areas - Primary service is provided throughout the San Gabriel Valley and extended portions of Los Angeles County. This includes:
San Gabriel Valley: Pasadena, Arcadia, Monrovia, Alhambra, Temple City, San Marino, and surrounding cities.
Greater Los Angeles: Downtown LA, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, and nearby communities.
-
Fees for mobile notary services consist of the state-regulated notary fee plus a mobile travel and convenience fee. To ensure transparency, an individual final quote is provided prior to confirming every appointment.
1. California State-Regulated Fees: The State of California mandates a fee of $15 per notarized signature.
2. Mobile Travel & Convenience Fees: This fee covers the time, fuel, and travel required to bring notary services directly to you.
Standard Locations ($35): Includes private residences, offices, coffee shops, restaurants, or curbside meetings within the service area.
Care Facilities ($50): Includes hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and assisted living facilities. These locations require additional time for parking, security check-in, and navigating the facility.
3. Specialized Flat Rates & Group Rates:
Estate Plans & Real Estate: Flat total rates (rather than per-signature fees) are available for comprehensive Living Trust packages and Real Estate transactions.
Group Rates: Discounted rates are available for sessions requiring 15 or more notarized signatures.
Payment Methods: Payment is due at the time of service via Cash, Zelle, or Tap & Pay. Please note that the notary does not carry cash for change; please plan accordingly.
Important Policies:
Non-Refundable Travel Fee: The mobile travel fee is earned upon the notary's arrival at the appointment. This fee will be charged even if the notarization cannot be completed due to:
Inability to provide satisfactory identification as required by California law.
Inability to meet the legal competency and awareness requirements for the signer.
The document being incomplete or unready for notarization.
Finality of Services: All transactions are final. No refunds are provided once the notary service has been performed.
